President Barack ObamaBarack Husain Obama Jr, 44th President of United States. He was elected president for the second time in November 2012. Obama was awarded the Nobel price of peace in 9th October 2009.

Barack Obama is a member of the Democratic Party of USA. Before that he was elected as a representative or senator of the Ilion state of the USA. Barack Obama won the presidential election held on 4th November 2008 and was sworn in 20th January 2009.

Early Life

Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii State. His father, Barack Obama Senior was of Luo people of Kenya, he was an economist and his mother, Ann Dunham was of US (Mainly British or Irish). Obama’s father met Ann Danhyan while he was studying in Hawaii-Manoa, University and then they got married. But Obama’s parents were divorced when he was only two years old. Then Obama’s mother got married with Indonesian Lolo Sutoro (Javanese: Lolo Soetoro). Obama spent most of his childhood in Indonesia. He moved to Hawaii with his grandparents when he was 10 years old. Later he received a law degree from Harvard University.

Political Life

He presented the main speech at the National Convention of Democrat Party held in Boston in 2004. After that he was regarded as a rising star in the progressive politics of the United States. He was unknown to national politics before the convention. He became popular in a moment to the nation for his outstanding speech.

In November of that year he was nominated for the senate election for Ilion State and defeated Republican Alan Kiyej.
Barack Obama was nominated in the President Elect of US in 2008 from the Democratic Party. He won the national election held on 4th November of that same year and elected as the 44th President of USA. He was elected President for the second time on 7th November 2012 by defeating Democratic candidate Mitt Romney.

Awards

The world famous Time magazine of USA nominated 32 people as ‘Person of the Year’ in 2011. In the list Barack Obama was also nominated with Steve Jobs, Angela Markel, Silvio Barlusconi, Leonel Messi and others. He has been nominated for the second time in the Person of the Year by Time Magazine in 2012.
