What is the situation of the use of language in Bangladesh now?

21 FebruaryInternational Mother Language Day is being celebrated worldwide. The Language Martyrs Day “21 February” is respected as “The International Mother Language Day” by United Nation’s UNESCO in 1999.

It is said that Twenty-rise eliminates the spirit of Bengali nationalism and the continuation of that situation, once upon a timed birth Bangladesh as an independent state.

Prof. Chowdhury of Bengali department of Dhaka University- Bhismadev Chowdhury told: “Sixteen million people in Bangladesh, saying it’s mother tongue, this is a positive direction.”

Our law-courts, as the educational media at the University the overall sense is that we are still unable to apply the Bengali language, were unable to use. However, the situation of the use of language has improved but remained restrictions in the higher education” he said.

“I have the language, but it is not isolated from the original language. The language we are using the standard ritual, newspapers, radio and television are used, there are limitations.” This would seem possible to overcome the limitations of Professor Bhismadev Chowdhury.

Why decreasing Royal Bengal Tiger in the Sundarbans?

Royal Bengal TigerAccording to the latest survey, only 100 Tiger or Royal Bengal Tiger is left in the Sundarbans.  Many experts have been surprised at the number of ways to capture on camera.

The forest department conservator of forest wildlife in the region Tapan Kumar said, “Cameras capture method survey found 83 to 130 tigers in Bangladesh and Indian’s Sundarbans. As the average of the actual number of tigers in Bangladesh could be a maximum of 106.”

But earlier in 2004, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Indian experts with the support by Footprints based survey of 6,000 square kilometers 440 Royal Bengal Tigers was calculated in the Sundarbans. Bangladeshi High Court bans Hindi songs as ringtones

One-year prison sentence for possession of cobra snakes

cobra.pngPolice arrested a man with 17 cobra snakes then the mobile court has sentenced him to one year.

Convicted Babul Mia was trying almost one month to create a snake farm in a house at Keraniganj Dhaka.

Dhaka University professor and Bangladesh Government snake farm committee’s caller Dr. Anwarul Islam said, whoever is the snake farm in Bangladesh does it illegally, and the Forest Department does not approve of such farms.

The snake venom for use to come from India, and there’s no a large market basically in Bangladesh. Continue reading
